What the fee is
The sourcing fee is payment for professional search work: supplier research, direct outreach, availability checks, specification review and request administration. It is not a deposit, and it is not part-payment toward any asset, rental, charter or service.
When it is charged
At submission. Your request is not treated as active until payment has succeeded. The amount varies by request category and urgency and is shown to you before you pay.
Why it is non-refundable
Once sourcing begins, the work has been carried out — calls made, availability checked, suppliers approached. The fee is non-refundable from that point.
What it does not do
Payment does not guarantee that a suitable asset, vessel, transport provider or contractor will be available. It does not reserve equipment. Final supplier, rental, transport, charter or procurement costs are separate from this fee and are never counted toward it.
