Sourcing Fee & Refund Policy
Last updated: [DATE PLACEHOLDER]
1. What the sourcing fee is
Ravalent charges a sourcing fee (also referred to as a finder’s fee) before beginning sourcing work on a client request. The fee is payment for the professional work of sourcing. It is not a deposit, and it is not a part-payment towards the price of any equipment, vessel, transport, charter, contractor or other service.
2. What the fee covers
- Research into equipment, vessels, transport providers or specialised contractors matching your requirement.
- Direct outreach to suppliers and partners within the Ravalent network.
- Administration, validation and internal handling of your request.
- Compilation and presentation of the options, availability and supplier details we identify.
- A unique request reference number and a tracked internal status.
3. What the fee does not cover
- The cost of the equipment, vessel, machinery, transport, charter or service itself.
- Mobilisation, demobilisation, freight, permits, insurance, fuel, crew or operator costs.
- Any guarantee that a suitable asset or provider exists or is available.
- Any guarantee of price, delivery date or commercial terms from a third-party supplier.
4. When the fee becomes non-refundable
The sourcing fee becomes non-refundable once the sourcing process begins. The sourcing process is deemed to begin when Ravalent starts research or supplier outreach on the request, which normally occurs promptly after payment is confirmed.
By submitting a request and paying the fee you confirm that you understand and accept this.
5. Availability is not guaranteed
Payment of the sourcing fee does not guarantee that the requested equipment, vessel, transport, contractor or service will be available, suitable or offered at any particular price. Availability depends on market conditions and the capacity of third-party suppliers at the time of the request.
If Ravalent is unable to identify a suitable option, we will explain what was approached and why it did not fit. The fee remains payable because the sourcing work was carried out.
6. Fee amounts
Sourcing fees are set by Ravalent and may vary according to the request category, complexity and urgency. Typical tiers are:
| Tier | Applies to | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Standard sourcing request | Routine equipment, rental and procurement enquiries | [AMOUNT] |
| Urgent sourcing request | Required within 7 days or flagged as emergency | [AMOUNT] |
| Complex / specialised request | Marine, heavy-lift, multi-item or cross-border scopes | [AMOUNT] |
The applicable fee is displayed before payment is taken. Amounts are configured by the Ravalent administrator and are not fixed in the website code.
7. Requests that are not activated
A request is not treated as active until payment is successfully received. Submitted requests awaiting payment are held for a limited period and may then be closed without further notice.
8. Chargebacks and disputes
If you believe a fee has been charged in error, contact Ravalent at info@ravalent.com before raising a dispute with your payment provider. [LEGAL REVIEW: confirm the dispute-handling position, cooling-off obligations and any consumer-protection requirements applicable in the company’s jurisdiction.]
9. Relationship to other terms
This policy should be read together with the Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy.
